The "After Dark Urban Photography" continues to grow from strength to strength.
Thanks so far to the clubs at Fordingbridge Camera Club, Reflex Camera Club in Bristol, Paignton Photographic Club, Wellington District Camera Club, Exeter Camera Club and Exmouth Photo Group.
I am always updating this one and still have more bookings scheduled.
The talk is aimed at getting people out and about at night on a journey through our cities to look at the opportunities available in urban street settings. Using controlled available light sources in a huge variety of weather conditions I also look demonstrate the different effects that various older and newer lens have when capturing shots in these sometimes challenging conditions. This is not a look at Astro photography, so I only briefly touch on the subject, as you do not need to stay up very late looking up at the stars with a wide angle lens to get great night photography.
Please contact me on info@richardsercombe.co.uk to book me for an evening presentation at your club.

After much deliberation I decided that a mobile version of my website was needed rather than a responsive option. Obviously I had designed it with desktop users in mind but this proved significantly harder to use on mobile and also gave me the chance to up the font size and layout for mobile users. Hopefully, further updates will be far less painful now although I will have to produce two pages for every single new page. (I can see this is going to eat into my photography time a bit!)

Progress has been made on the website. For the moment I would almost call it finished but obviously the nature of the beast means I still will do some more tweaks and add some more images to a few of the sections. It has been quite a task to get to this stage but rewarding to do it all hands on rather than use a pre-set template based database dependant website. Now all I have to do is check it all out for issues on as many machines, tablets and phones to ensure it responds correctly on all platforms.
If anyone feels like having a quick peep at it and give me some feedback, please do so as any comments would be much appreciated.

Blogging is a great idea if you have the time for it. Not so good unless you have a real reason to use it though.
I originally set this up as a simple test to try embedding it into my website. As it stands, you will have a better idea of knowing what I am up to by looking at Flickr at...

The Natural History Museum project.
The Natural History Museum project.
The planning before the visit really paid off and I managed to get two final images from that same day. This one is made up of 11 shot based around the lower Darwin steps and the raised steps. It took longer to put them together than the 4 hour visit itself. It might be worth another visit to see the whale when it is finally in place.
